How do i replace ceramic cartridge in tap - see photo

Hi Guys,

I have a replacement cartridge for my dripping tap (driving me crazy!) but one problem - looks like i need a special tool to remove a retaining nut.

I need something shaped like a nut which fits inside the opening, so i can turn and remove.

Any idea what im talking about? Please see pic.

Probably a box tubular spanner, similar to Machine marts 040210202 would work here......I haven't come across this type of insert before though.
