Hi all,

In took it upon myself to take apart and replace tap washers on bathroom taps that drip unless they closed very tightly.

Having loosened and unscrewed the large nut I expected to be able to remove the cartridge and remove and replace the washer. However it seems like the lower part of the cartridge is too big to be removed from the main body. The pictures should make it clear what I mean.. How do I go about replacing the tap washers to stop these taps dripping?

Second pic.....the washer has spread and swollen which gives the impression there's something wrong.
There isn't - just twist the tap insert out gently.
