Cant believe how much trouble Ive been having trying to find s-pan, bottom outlet toilet where everything is concealed..

I just want a nice smooth easy to keey clean loo and surround floor.. and most s-pan toilets have visible waste pipes that look like the loch ness monster crawling out the back...

I was going to go with a hung soltuion, but they are about double the cost of a decent loo.. and I need two!

Anyway, Ive found these, but for the life of me cant figure out how you would change the seat.. surely you dont have to remove the whole loo!

They are called back to the wall pans so all the bits are hidden.

usually have release buttons on the hinges,so the base part of the hinge needs to be TIGHT. and you have to buy the exact same seat to ensure fitting.

Don't do it!! Buy a British manufactured wall hung or back-to-wall WC & concealed cistern(if you have the room to fit one). The wall hung units are great for cleaning for example, a mop can just glide under them & dead easy to clean arround them also. Not that I'm a house-proud househusband, just a Plumber that's been fitting WCs for over 34 years............ ;)

Sorry, perhaps shouldve said "image is for illustrative purposes only".. I was just curious how these types of loo's had their seats fixed to them...

Ive priced up wall hung at around £300 each, which, yes would look great... but Im not sure I can stretch, nor do I have the room in one locaiton to fit such a system...

Wouldve thought a loo was a loo, the only thing I would expect to break would be the seat or the flushing mechanism... I did see a couple of Twyfords that could possible fit the bill.

The only way a back to wall or othe rconcealed cistern would work for me is if the waste pipe can be concealed within the base of the toilet.. Any false wall or cabinet I would have to use would proturde to far from the wall if it enclosed the soil pipe too...

As charnwood says, If you do go for it, make sure seat is top fixing, otherwise replacing the seat would mean removing the cistern and pan. personally I think all back-to-wall pans are a pin in the *@"se
