How do they get away with it - coins and mattresses?

70p coins, which are only legal tender on Ascension island, plus £3.99 P&P, 'layered' with silver - wasn't the proper name for that silver plated?

Mattresses and toppers advertised at half price, which have been at the same 'half price' for years.

Layer is probably used because it doesn't meet the minimum thickness requirement for "plating". As for half price items, it's half the rrp which is controlled by the seller in this case. Saying something is reduced has different implications. Commercially it works as sales seem to trigger a frenzy of buying even though it's seems to be a tear round thing in certain sectors.

the word "sale" means nothing on its own it could be for sale i think the legal definition is"genuine sale" it must be genuine reductions??
