how do you clean paint off pipes?

De-burring tool can be pretty handy to, got mine from wickes or B&Q was about £3, use it everytime now.

good tip mrnev..a customer give me one (A DE-BURRING TOOL) and i hardly use the wool now..class little tool..and I overlooked it as a DIYer's tool for years!
