Hi everyone,

I’m currently filling out a few job and internship applications, and many of them are asking for percentage instead of SGPA. My university only shows SGPA on the semester result, so I needed a quick way to convert it into a percentage.

From what I’ve learned, different universities use different formulas. A common formula many institutions use is:

Percentage = (SGPA × 10) − 7.5.

But some universities also use other formulas like multiplying SGPA by 9.5 or using their own grading system.

Because of that, I started looking for a simple calculator online that can convert SGPA to percentage instantly. I found this one helpful:

You just enter your SGPA and it calculates the percentage quickly. It saved me a lot of time compared to doing the calculation manually every semester.

I’m curious how other students handle this:

  • Do you convert SGPA to percentage when applying for jobs or higher studies?
  • Which formula does your university use?
  • Do you calculate it manually or use an online calculator?

Would love to hear how others deal with this.
