I fitted my new 800mm x 800mm quadrent mira shower tray, it is onto floorboards, i used some fastset tile adhesive, i held the shower tray right against the plasterboard on my stud partition walls.

The problem i have is it creaks like mad!

I have popped it back up which was a lot easier than i would have thought.

How would you do it?

Should i use gripfill or sticks like shi#, and should i hold it away from the plasterboard a couple of mill?

Should i put down my 12mm ply that i will sheet the floor with for tiles under the tray? Was hoping not to as to cut down on the step into the tray.

All help and advice will be very much appreciated, thanks

Builders foam ..... There isn't a problem in the world that can't be caused or rectified using that stuff

always do what the instructions tell you in which mira are good.

never place a tray on to floorboards, won't last five mins.
sheet the floor with 12mm ply screwed about 200 centres.
don't forget to silicone the tray sides that are to go against the walls.

Done it on 12mm ply and it worked a treat, no more creaks!

Thanks to all
