I never received an answer on how to remove this from the Vailliant Eco Tec Plus.. and a mod appears to have locked the thread unfairly and without warning

Yes, I have read my manual and I could not find the answer hence why I asked..

I am cleaning the system, the magnetic filter, adding inhibitor and would like to clean/replenish the condensate trap as well

I also watched the youtube vid on this topic (before creating my thread).. However, I got no joy when I tried to remove the condensate trap.. hence why i decided to ask the good folks at diynot

The mod gave a good reason for blocking your previous thread. Get the boiler regularly serviced by an RGI and you will never need to go near this part of the system.

The trap is part of the boiler and should only be touched by a gas safe engineer which is why I am sure your other thread was locked just like this one will be.

No, they on gave the reason after locking my previous thread and after I created this one..

I have no issue with the reasoning..
