OMG this is exactly what labour are announcing todayIf Reform get in and stay true to their promises, some folk are going to be in for a shock, including some who vote for them.
I can picture Larry the racist layabout now. He voted Reform to get all foreign and ideally all non white folk out the country.
One day, a letter pops through his letter box. It's from the DWP, titled 'Getting the Country Back to Work.'
Larry has been advised in the letter there's a care home job waiting for him. He can accept the job, or reject it. If he rejects it, his benefits will be cut by 50%.

Listen - I dont know how many times I have to tell you - I dont give a sh1t about reform. Nor do I care for the cons for that matter.
I'm not. I simply like to point out the illogical and unbalanced stances that are often taken, regardless of whether it's on one side of the debate or the other.
Example. A politician or talking head is on a tv prog. They're asked about people on benefits and assert 'No one on benefits actually wants to be on benefits.' The assertion is 100% of people on benefits would rather be working. Logic tells you, or should tell you, that is not true. Actually, it's a downright stupid assertion to make.
The same illogical and unbalanced stances crop up everywhere, including immigration. e.g. trying to focus the blame of multiple things on immigrants, when logically it simply can't be true, certainly not to the extent asserted by some.
So it's nothing to do with defending this group or that, just pointing out stuff I consider to be wrong in whatever way.

I doubt any party is exactly aligned with any of our "wants", hence we should select the "best fit" (regardless of the name on the tin).
Failure to do that makes one nothing but a tribal voter.
Failure to vote for any makes one, by default, accepting of the status quo.
