how much is scrap metal (66kgs of stelrad radiators )worth?
I was given £6.50 for them. Was that a fair price? I live in the SE Eng.

Spot on LLL. I weighed some in and he rounded the £37 up to £40. Or so he said

Copper and bronze are worht far more. I busted a gut to get a dozen old rads to a scrap yard years ago and I got a fortune for the copper and brazing; £4 for the rads!

i know someone who took an old bedford van in to be weighed in and got given 18 PENCE,mind it was when the prices were low BUT 18 PENCE,think it cost him more in the time/fuel it took to get it there.

I normally don't bother for iron or steel, just the copper and brass.

Was surprised last time I went to see a sign saying "Now buying steel"
