How much more space do pocket doors consume in terms of width compared with non-pocket door plasterboard partitions?

Do you need glasses? Or have you missed the detail posted in this thread?But question still stands - is it true everything has to be doubled up? 100mm on both side of the door plus door thickness? Minimum either side would be what, 40mm instead of 100mm?
