A good plasterer could cope with either, but the gap at the internal corner is easier to deal with

lucky my plasterer is good! I've done as much boarding as I think I can manage. Hopefully that will be OK. Plasterer will sort the bricks out, need thicker board than i have there i think. It won't be perfect, but it's an old house, so will add character!
