Not sure how to solve this, if I align the base units to the cooker wall I get a 15cm gap to wall from nearest cupboard (and looks ugly as hell):

Aligning cupboards to the right wall gives me this:

Am I right in saying aligning to the right wall and having a gap behind the cooker is probably the best option here? Or am I missing something obvious? And any considerations for a gap behind the cooker? I'm not sure how safe that would be.

Build it square to the cooker wall.

Push the cooker to the right 15 cm or fit a 15cm unit between the cooker and the corner unit.

Trim the backs off the cupboards on the right hand wall so that the unit nearest to you in the top photo touches the wall. The corner cupboard will probably need quite a bit of modification.

You will then need to scribe the worktop to the wall, it will be narrower at the cooker end of the wall. Not easy if the worktops are granite.
