how to attach my shower arm to the ceiling

I got a crosswater Rex ceiling shower arm. Should I use plasterboard rawplugs and screws to attach the arm to my plasterboard ceiling? Or should I use screws without rawplugs and use a bolts and washers? Thanks for your advice

I may be miles off, but I think these things are held in place with a 3/4" brass backnut?
If so, I'd be inclined to brace the thing with some 4mm ply on the other side of the plasterboard just to spread the load - a sort of a large washer.

Now thats a first
It could be an idea to have a trial run with a piece of material the same thickness as the plasterboard, as a washer thats too thick could interfere with the water connection to the arm.....I really wouldn't know.
Spare brass backnuts are available from B&Q et al if you need one.

I would do exactly as Burnerman suggested.

Ply above the ceiling and screw/bolt into that.
