What attaches above ceiling shower arm?

If installing a shower arm from the ceiling, specifically what product should I look for so that the arm is secured above the ceiling?

That is, what attaches to the copper thread in the photo below to hold the shower arm up in the correct position?

So, above the ceiling, presumably the three screws are attached to a joist?

A soldered fitting would normally be more secure and shouldn't leak. Clip the feed pipe along the inside of the joist or dwang, as long as possible and the 2 last clips are close together for max support, a 90deg bend then into an end feed female coupler. PTFE or thread lock around arm thread and tighten into coupler.

When I search for 15mm female compression coupler, I see products which resemble the first photo you have posted. Strangely, I can only see your first photo when I attempt to reply and quote your message.

What's the name of the product in the second photo (not the elbow)?

The second photo is an end feed female coupler, but that's for soldering with. If you can't get it soldered then the compression wall plate elbow or the straight female compression coupler would be your choice
