Hi there, oil tank ran out of oil, and boiler has not been used in a few months. Just had a delivery of oil and tried to start up the boiler, but it goes to lockout. Have tried hitting reset button twice but has not solved the issue.
I think it needs bleeding but not sure which nut to turn to do this. I have seen other posts and videos refer to and show a protuding part with an Allen key nut in the end, which should be loosened whilst the boiler is resetting, and then tightened once oil starts coming through and boiler starts.
However, our boiler does not have this protuding part. There is an Allen key nut in the area, but not sure if its the one to loosen.
Any advice much appreciated :)

Turn of oil at tank disconnect flexi oil line under pump . Put end of flexi into a suitable container turn on oil run till clear bubble free flow.
Turn of oil reconnect flexi Turn back on o slacken silver nut on front of pump bleed out any air tighten nut restart. boiler.

Great, thank you for taking the time to reply to this! :)
When you say 'slacken the silver nut on the front' do you mean the one circled in this photo?
Thanks :)
