Hello all
I have a tap which is far too far back and need it to be futher forward. Can anyone recommend one which will be futher forward and how can I install it? Do I just turn off the water under the kitchen sink but not sure if that only turns off the water to the washing machine?
And that tap in the picture, how does that get removed? Is it a case of just unscrewing it?

I find it quicker to remove sink sometimes. Swap tap. Fit flexi pipes to tap. Drop sink back on.
Sink will need sealing to worktop again though.
Re removing. Any isolators to both cold and hot pipe under sink?
Compression fittings so just unscrew?
Can you get under and release tap, kits available from DIY to reach nut holding tap on.

The taps too far back need it futher forward, very painful on back

Thanks can I just unscrew the tap in the part you can see and pop another one on like a shower head? There's only a cold water stop valve under sink I think but it does turn off the water hot and cold to the kitchen tap.

I can't see how any other tap in the same place would be any better. My sink has tap holes front and back, for installation flexibility . If yours is the same you could fit the taps to the front hole. It might look a bit odd, but much nearer. And easier access for fitting, though the pipes likely to need modding.

It would be more than a little odd. It would be right in the way for washing up, transferring from sink, to drainer.

I think it will be extremely difficult to find a spout/arm that will fix your existing tap body.

You can purchase spout extenders

I have no idea if they are any good or not though.

I’m nothing understanding about being too far back either, if the handles are too far away, or difficult to turn, perhaps quarter turn style? If it is indeed the tap too far back, then a new worktop and insert sink would likely be required.

I suspect that the OP means that the spout is too far back and that if they are cleaning something under the running water, they have to lean quite far over the sink... I could be wrong though.
