How can i clean out a heat exchanger on a Halstead Best 80 boiler. Do i need to try and flush it out or can i remove it and clean it? Any advice appreciated

Merely having the pump set on "high" does not mean its working properly or at all!
Since you dont seem to have much idea of whats wrong with your system, I would never give you any advice which would encourage you to take your boiler apart when such work should be done by a competent CORGI.
So my advice is to get a competent engineer.
