Can someone please advise me how to go about connecting this boss to 40mm compression waste pipes?

The existing shower and whb waste looks like 40mm compression fittings.

I think this is the boss I need - its the "82mm Soil Patch Boss 40mm" from Drainage Online:

    https://www.drainageonline.co.uk/ab...ush-fit-soil/82mm-soil-patch-boss-40mm-sws340

How does the 40mm pipe fit onto the boss? Will it be simply with a compression fitting? Or will I need some further adapter to connect 40mm pipe to the boss?

    Thanks
    Ian

Here are photos of the 40mm waste pipe and 82mm soil pipe:

This the vent part of the shower and WHB waste pipe. I need to temporarily divert this waste to the new boss as the existing 40mm waste pipes are thru a notch in the joists that I need to repair.

screwfix only has pipe bosses for connecting to 110mm pipes. I need one to connect to an 82mm pipe.
