Hi all,

I've just moved out of a rented house where I supplied the washing machine. It drained into a spur on the sink drain, but now the pipe's been removed the drain is left open and water comes out when the sink is used. It's about 2cm diameter and has the ribbed effect for flexible pipes to push onto.

Thanks in advance.

Go to the shop, buy a bottle of wine, go outside in garden, enjoy a glass of wine and sun, bin the bottle and use the cork to plug it in spur after a hangover :-)

Daniel.

In case you're teetotal, then you should be able to get a replacement part with the end still sealed, or alternatively wrap a decent thickness plastic bag around it and secure with cable tie.

New tenant will probably need to to connect their washing machine anyway, so it will cease to be a problem once more.
