1. Buy some Scratch repair compound from your local DIY supplier matching the original paintwork as close as possible.
2. Add the compund 1st using a lint free applying tool (not cottenwool buds) and ensure you apply it just above the finished surface level of the table.
3. Allow to dry for the recommended time.
4. Use a cordless or variable electric drill and a polishing pad to quickly polish the repair compound, this will give a 'very' close match to the original surface.
Theres no easier way sorry apart from taking the table to a restoration expert who will charge the earth and carry our steps 1-4 above.
