Hi. Could anyone suggest a tool or a neat way or cutting down this protruding wooden batten so that it lies flush with the fixed wooden partition above it? It protrudes by about 1" x 1" and runs for about 4m. I assume elbow grease will be involved unless there's a handy power attachment? Thanks.

Would a nail bar not lift it?
A good chisel would probably shear it off.

Unfortunately it extends under the partition so I'll need to split the wood.

Thanks, that's a new one on me. Bit pricey just for this one job but will see if I can hire or find a cheaper one.

It's not a good photo. Unfortunately it's definitely not a quadrant.

Lidl were doing a cheap £30 multitool.
Thanks. Definitely current? I googled and saw they were selling one a year ago. Hopefully it's a repeat offer.

A multitool will sort that out a treat and very neatly, I bought one for a specific job and have used it for a multitude of different tasks now. I've got the Bosch one and it's fine.
