Hi all,

I'm trying to cut a single 800mm tile to go around a shower recess as follows.

My first attempt is wrong, as I've cut the edges too wide around the recess to enable the trim to be set correctly.
The tile is not actually fixed in place, this is just to show what the intention is.

I cut this with an angle grinder freehand (thinking the trim would cover over the rough edge)

I realise that I need to start again, but don't know what tool I need to make the cuts clean?
Presume a table saw which will cope with large format tiles?
Either that or a circular tile saw with a rail attachment?

I know I can do this with the right advice and correct method.

Any advice much appreciated.

Yes, the best tool for a perfect cut is a "bridge saw".

But as you are using trim you should be ok with an angle grinder, a continuous rim blade and a straight edge like a batten to guide the grinder.
