Hi,

I've got a hatch skylight with a bolt mechanism. I have lost one of the threaded bolts I need to lock the thing - does anyone know where I can find anything similar? Photo attached.

7mm diametre Threaded rod with 5mm smooth end.

I can't contact skylight company for a spare part because there is no brand name - I just know its Dutch!

Any ideas welcomed,

Thanks,
Alex

It looks very similar to a grub screw, only the 5mm plain end is for locking I presume.
Anyway your best option would be to make a replacement, either yourself or someone with a mechanical set up. I've found local tool hire companies pretty good at either having odd spares around and or being able to remake them to suit your purpose, why not give them a try? ...pinenot :)

These guys are spot on. They do all those flat pack fixings that go missing and those strange sizes for classic cars etc. Im sure they would have something. They sell screws individually too so generally you dont have to buy 100 of them just to use 2....
