Okay just checked our hot water tank and there does not seem to be any immersion heating on it at all. there also does not seem to be a place where you would fit one.

does anyone have any ideas on how to fit one of these inc the wiring, as we are fed up of not having hot water and since we have an old council house with the famous BACK BOILER which costs a fortune and takes ages to warm the water, thought fitting one of these would save some money.

??

if you haven't got a cylinder that will take an immersion then you can't fit one.

how can i tell if i have one or not. there does not seem to be a round plug of sorts anywhere but i cant really see round the back?

if its one of these then its a combination cylinder/fortic.

Yes there appears to be a nut there, but thats going to be impossible to fit one there i would have though. the whole tank would have to come out?

well the thing is, with the price of gas so high we was going to fit one of these as my brother has one on a timer, and says its great. we only really have hot water every now and again and it would be nice to have it pretty much warm most of the time. at some stage we are going to get a condensor boiler fitted, just thought this would be an easy mod to get us by till we saved up.. lol
