Hi folks,

I need to fix a 3mm cable to an external wall. It's to support a climbing plant.

I tried google but it always came up with telephone, electrical etc cables. I'm talking about a straight support cable.

I suppose a hoop with a thread to screw it into a wall plug.

Does it have a name?

How do you screw it in if it's tight?

And also how do you attach the cable to itself? Surely not a knot :)

Cheers

A vine eye. Great thanks.

Now I just need to know how to attach the cable...

Any ideas?

You put the cable through it, then wrap the cable back around itself 2 or 3 times before trimming the excess.

I was originally going to use 3mm which wouldn't do that. I settled for 1.5mm, it still wouldn't really work. So I tied a knot in them, hopefully that'll hold.

Thanks all.
