How to fix a damp concrete floor?

Hi,

I’m helping my partner re-do her downstairs loo. It’s an extension on the side of her Victorian property. I’ve taken the tiles up. The slab is about 4” thick and laid directly on soil and is damp. Can I fix this without ripping the whole thing up and installing a DPM?

Have a look at the products from BAL - Stopgap F75/76/77 etc. These are liquid DPM's applied to the surface. But these may come in quantities too great for a small area, or be relatively expensive for a small area. But they are good.

Some bitumen type coating may also work of its sold as being for tanking or floor waterproofing
