how to increase flow to rad

hi

a plumber balanced our rads a few months back and im finding the one he turned down isnt getting hot enough. i know he turned the pin at the opposite end to the thermostat but i cant remember

a) which way to turn the pin - anticlockwise i assume?
b) how much of a turn roughly ie would 1 full turn be too much or do these things usually need several turns?

One full turn should have an effect - try it and see.
