How to lay turf and feather into old grass

Hi,

I have recent had a patio laid and the spoil has gone to the bottom of the garden to try and flatten the lawn area.

Can someone please advise how to feather the old grass into new?

Firstly break down the soil as it looks very lumpy. You can do a few things....

Take the soil down to about flush with current grass and then seed.

Take an inch lower and turf.

Relevel the whole lawn and returf it all
