I've made 2 boxes out of deck planks.
I'm pretty happy with the results.

I measured and made a rough line down the planks - pretty sure they weren't perfect 90 degrees.

I cut with a jigsaw.

The ends, I used screws.
No glue was harmed in the making of my boxes.

How can I make more perfect boxes?
How can I make my wood all be the exact same length?
How can I mark exactly 90 degrees and then cut perfectly?

Circular saw? Table saw?
I'd prefer not to get! Kids running around.
But if that's the only choice, then I guess I have no choice.

Anything else?
Thanks.

A chop saw with mitre feature such as one of THESE

Many other supplies exist.....

For safety switch off the power when you are not by the machine.

Thanks guys.
Chop saw looks perfect.

I also looked up 'track saw'. Would a chop saw be better?

I've also seen videos using jigsaw cutting with a rail - you can buy a a Bosch saw station.
For the price... I might as well get a chop saw.

Chop saw vs standalone circular saw?
Any thoughts. Can you get standalones that fit into a mount and make into a chop saw?

Thanks.
