Hi all

Does anyone know possibly how I can fit a rat flap in here. The pipe is 6" but the chamber above only allows access of about 4". We have a 6" rat flap?

Hoping someone can help please?

Calling this a "rat flap" implies that it can open to allow a rat to pass through it (like a cat flap). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I suspect you don't want that?
In which case, you'll need a permanently attached cover for the elongated hole as Nife F and Mottie suggest.

I think it is supposed to work the other way. Lets waste and water out but stops rats getting up the pipe.

Are you sure it's a 6" clay and not a 4"? Is there no other full chamber that you have access to the open end? If not then you would need to cut that access section out, fit the valve in the upstream end and then remake with plastic and/or fernco's.

The covers never seem to last, only ever seen 1 that wasn't in bits.
