Hi all

Been removing my tiles in the bathroom and they appear to have removed some plasterboard along with it (see pics)

I need to put more plasterboard on, once I have removed all of the tiles and remaining plasterboard. I will be left with a red brick wall, as seen in the pics.

Can you please best advise the best way to connect plasterboard to this wall? I have read that some people use batons, but I can't see any batons in the bathroom where it may be attached.

Can I just use plasterboard screed direct in to the red brick?

Many thanks

Mark

Doesn't look like plasterboard underneath. First pic looks clearest. Looks a couple of undercoats or one very thick layer of finish on top.

In a bathroom would not recommend standard grey plasterboard.
Suggest doing a bit more reading first.

The pros may be able offer advice exactly what you have on there.
