How to protect my newly felted garage roof

I have just had part of my garage rebuilt and had a new flat roof fitted.

Two layers of felt were added

Is there anything I can add, to give the felt a little extra protection ... maybe bitumen paint or Thomsons black roof seal ?

... or should I just leave it as it is

You won't prolong it's life.

The system, the quality of installation and the location (shade/exposure) will determine how long it lasts.
