Hi all,
after some advice..... i need to reduce the thickness of about a dozen or so engineerd oak floorboards from 20mm to an amount to where i can bend them around the upright of a curved step. Im guessing maybe down to around 5-10mm.
Its a one off job, so what would be a good way of doing this?? They are about 6" wide.
I thought maybe a cheap bench planer ??? Thoughts??

Have a 6inch bench plane, cheap clarkes model, would do the job but doubt you can bend even thin oak, much. Do you have a pic of problem area?
