Hi,

Some of my garage roof tiles are badly 'spalled' and I want to replace them. Some have lifted off easily by careful chiselling/prising. But some are rock-solid and I can't budge them. They are V-shaped and the roof is 4mm thick plain tiles.

Any good ideas on how to remove the ridge tiles without damaging the plain tiles gratefully received.

Cheers.

A small grinder with a diamond blade on it may be your best bet.

any repair work done to a plain tile roof runs a risk of damage to the existing tiles.

you are best having a stack of spares lying around.
