How to replace micro switch in two port valve?

Valve
I was considering War Department 40, but it is inflammable, so was a little indecisive, should I use it or not. And yes it seems whole valve is the way to go, the head is same price as whole valve.
at screwfix valve £49.99 head £59.99

Strange pricing! For Honeywell motorised valves, the heads are typically half or two thirds the price of the complete valve

Actually possible to strip down while connected to wiring centre. (Mains isolated, naturally).
Had same stuck on issue and over-pumping into header tank at the in-Laws.

A short term solution was to clean up the mechanism to free up the microswitch button which was being held in by sticky grease (IPA - not the beer - to degrease) then some silicone grease to lubricate. The switch contacts can arc and weld shut due to the inductive pump motors, though.

The microswitches are under £4 delivered on eBay... or £6 for two. A fraction of the cost of a new head and the satisfaction of a DIY fix.

shows exactly how to do it!!! Three wires and soldered as I thought.

WD40 comes in many variants... Some allegedly do harm to some plastics.
