I've recently had a worktop fitted. It looks great but they oiled the whole thing. Now I have to fit the sink and hob the silicone won't stick to the wood. Is there anything I can use as an alternative?

(sorry think I put this post in under the wrong topic too)

Hi hoyboy

The sink should come with a seal strip, either pre-fitted to the underside of the lip, or loose to be fitted before install.
The hob should come with some putty like strips that fit to the underside of the hob.
I personally would'nt go near those lovely wooden tops with silicon.

Hope this helps
