Good evening!
I have a 18-25 Worcester Greenstar Heatslave Combi. The pipe connections are 22mm flow/return and DHW with a 15mm cold. Also 15mm blow-off pipe.
Problem is, the end stubs of all of these boiler pipes are SO SHORT!!
They do not clear the boiler itself and are set very close to other components/wires. I want to solder them in place for a professional job but blow-torch heat is problem??
Any suggestions?

Mike

Use a proper blowlamp.. These connections are not a problem if you are using conections supplied with boiler

Don't be silly Corgiman,

The OP obviously cannot read either.

Very true. If there's one good thing about installing these boilers he isn't doing it.
:!:

Are you CORGI reg'd?

Check his other posts. I beleive he's trying to learn to become an electrician.

Mind you. He has not mentioned that he intends to mess with the gas side ;)

True enough I am not, but I am using kerosene not natural gas!
Its quite funny in a way, as I fitted a towel rad this week and it said" Use a Corgi registered plumber" ??
Anyway, soldering it is, I will just have to be a big boy and get on with it!
Cheers

Well there ain't no gas side to an oil boiler except that in my rothernberger!
As for wanting to learn about electrics, there's nothing wrong with that. Better to turn up at a job and understand a wiring diagram that applies to my work.
MAN, simple question with load off the wall answers and character investigation??

use compression fittings, stagger the joints and it is easy.be very carefull with the blowlamp as the insulation damages very easily even with a good mat.

It is even more illegal to solder the joints with Kerosene.

Do a search for Conex 301 straight connectors

I think what he was trying to say was that he doesn't need to be corgi regd to work on oil.

Just for the record, the boiler is dry of water and oil it is being installed for the first time.
Also I have all the qualifications OFTEC offer for oil appliances.Thank you to everyone for their kind contributions! ;)
