How to take cistern lid off this toiler?

Hi all

Close coupled toilet with push button flush.

Lid doesnt come off. So i flipped the buttons out with a screwdriver expecting to see a screw as per other toilets iv seen in the past.

I just have the two white plastic parts where the buttons sat on. Also i have managed to push them through into the cistern so im currently proper goosed.

Any ideas?

Turn the bezel...usually threaded

Yes, figured it out but thanks.

Managed to drop the white plastic in the pic right down into flush mechanism in doing so.

twist the drop flush valve a 1/4 turn to the left and it should pull up and out
