How to take stair case out and close the floor gap ?

Hello Esteemed Experts,

I am doing some work in the house and ned to take the entire staircase out and fill the gap in the floor as the staircase is not needed as 2 houses will be combined. ideas/sugestion, please. thanks.

Your stairs will be fixed top (stringers notched over bearer fixed to the bridle/joist face) The stringer to the wall side will also probably be fixed to the wall (visible from underneath) Now you will have to check the bottom flooring to see if it's bean scribed round any parts of the stairs or whether there's a bearing/fixing piece fixed to the floor behind the bottom riser. The stair stringer may also be tenoned into the floor, ideally you need to expose everything and then if your not sure post some pics.
The stairwell head requires stub joists inserted between the side trimmers (in joist hangers if it's easier for you) and matching flooring applied. Remove any mouldings etc. around the stair aperture and apply plasterboards, fill and decorate...pinenot :)
