My ongoing saga attempting to flush out a microbore system - my friend had no idea how old the 15/50 grundfos pump was, or when installed.
Anyway, to cut a long story short.
On the pump casing label stamped on the disc is a number, in my case U970, I emailed Grundfos and they kindly explained.
'U907 is the date code. The first two positions is the year, and the last two would be the week.
So for U907, represents 1990 and week 7.'
This has certainly helped in working out how old the system is and when pipes were altered etc. Perhaps also helps in making up our minds about changing it.
