i'm putting a fire in my sitting room, i'm building the sourounding fire place before the proficanal but's in the fire, the hearth is going on concrete floor but i need to build a thin wall at the back of the fire so i can put my fire closer the 150mm does anyone know any good ideas or how think my wall needs to be, any idea are welcome

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you have a professional installer why not ask him what he will require in order to issue you with the certificate? Or if you are notifying Building Control yourself, ask them.
