How far from retaining wall ?? Extension

Hi ,
Wondered if any1 could answer my hopefully simple question , I'm looking to build an extension on the back of my house but my garden is on a slope so I'm building retainers.
My retainers will be 1 metre high and will be parallel with my house and on the boundary between me and my neighbours house .
My question is how far / close can I build my extension to the retainer, my parallel one I will be approx 1.5 metre away but the side one I need closer to work with my rear window

As close as you like. The foundations will still need to go down past the lowest point of the lower ground level and past the retaining wall foundation
