I have just ordered a Howdens kitchen. Has to be delivered by the end of October for their sale price (I am normally sceptical of sales but I think this is reasonably genunine) Due to health, I wont be in a position to fit it until at least February so have to store it.

Anyway, my question (I probably should be able to work it out if I scour my memory for Pythageros) is concerning th height of the unit, a lower than standard ceiling and the "arc space" (if there is such a term).
The cabinets are 600mm wide and 2122mm high (with legs) or 1942mm (without legs). Have I enough headroom to swing the cabinets in?. Am I better laying them down and swinging the top up an in, or sliding the top up against the wall?

I am guessig this has been asked before but have searched annd cannoot see it.

Feel free to chip in with any comments or advice.

Thanks

Yes, you can rotate your built cabinet upright with legs on or off, without hitting the ceiling but it's close with the legs on so I would recommend you rotate it nearly upright, fit two legs, then over rotate it slightly so you can get the other legs on. This will also help not ruin the legs as they won't be asked to bear the weight of the cabinet during rotation (which would load them up in a force direction they aren't designed to take)

The maths is sqrt(1942^2 + 600^2), which is 2033 mm

It's approx 2200 with legs on if they're 30mm back from the edges - sqrt(2122^2 + 570^2) - but it's only a couple inches of wigggle room and if you have to lift the whole weight, on your own, to stop the legs breaking off as your rotate over, you may well whack the ceiling so I'd say no legs to start ..

Yes, got my brain into gear and worked it out with legs on, and had clearance. But in my head I thought it is safer without the feet.

Thanks for your input.
