how's my hot water heated/pumped

hi there, can anyone answer a simple question for me, how does the hot water to heat my hot water tank get pumped round my copper tank? i have a baxi back boiler, vented sistem with rad pipes and 2 bigger pipes going into back of boiler (heat exchanger). the thing is i cant see how the water is pumped when the hot tank needs heating, its working fine, we still get hot water but when c/h pump stops but gas burner is still heating water theres no pump running to pump water into copper tank. does this work on some kind of syphon gravity hot cold thinggy, sorry getting a bit tecnical, or should pump be running and i have a problem and a lack of valves in my sistem

Yes

Just as hot air rises and cooler air descends the same is true of water.
All you need is two pipes big enough to do it in a reasonable time. These pipes must continually rise from the boiler to the cylinder where they lose their heat to the cooler 'hot tap water' which is stored in the cylinder. This body of water then returns to the boiler as it cools to be reheated again and cause the circulation.

I dont mind telling you this stuff but if you really are a 'would be plumber' I suggest you first learn to spell plumber and then get a book from the library.
