have an old concord boiler wall mounted C plan 1 boiler, 1 water tank , 1room stat, 1boiler stat 1 inline pump, gravity fed, problem of banging in pipes to loft, and lots of steem to gravity tank, relpaced water pump, replaced hot water tank,replaced water tank stat, replaced zone switch, and still have the same noise and high pressure steem into the gravity tank, i have bled the sistem over 2 days and the problem still there, found a brass bleed tap on the back of the boiler but i cannot see how to release the tap to bleed of the air as i think this is the problem thanks brian kn

removed that , fitted a new one, also removed the tank stat also removed the zone valve,so onley the pump is working in the system still the same many thanks brianollski said:
