My own boiler, a Worster 240 RSF (balanced Flue) Is making a hell of a noise when its running hot, like a concord.

Changed the pump to see if it would make any difference but none, so Im guessing it can only really be a noisey H/E, but the system water is spotless, and has been since the system was fittet,

any ideas?

some air trapped?? Is the auto air vent ok??

Stick some silencer through it and blast the cold main round the system?

The Auto airvent wasnt ok, forgot to say that, I changed it tho. not its venting fine but still noisey.

on starting boiler its fine, but when the stat is up high, or you slow the water rate when using taps u can hear it, not conventional kettelying but a loud whine / slight kettling noise.

may hav to purchase some silencer today to see if it helps.

Is it worth firing some fast cleanse round 1st before adding silencer?

I would say it would not got wrong, leave it if for a bit, week or so.

Then silencer and inhibitor.

Checked gas pressures??

When you say flow and return temps what are you looking for? there not being enough difference in the temps? do you look for 11*C approx over them like a rad?

cheers for the tips

looking to see if the temp of the flow is getting up to 80C+++

when its way up there it can cause funny noises.

Overheat should cut it out at 100c but stranger things have been known.
