What do winning percentages work out at year on year? There are a few instant access accounts at the moment with around 4% interest, just curious whether she'll see £400+ in "winnings" over the year?ms Motorbiking has has zero for 6 months from her £10k.

It makes less sense for her as a 40% tax payer vs me. But it's just for fun. What do winning percentages work out at year on year? There are a few instant access accounts at the moment with around 4% interest, just curious whether she'll see £400+ in "winnings" over the year?

maybe stick 5k in some bonds via a fund, to leverage her dividend allowance. 10k each should mean 1K tax free.£100 for me and £50 for Mrs Mottie this month and we are out of PB's for a while. PB money along with workshop sale proceeds are going into monthly interest paying savings accounts, as will the proceeds of my mums house sale when it goes through, all in Mrs Motties name as having chucked in her nhs job and currently too young for NHS and state pension, she has a handy tax free allowance that we can use to avoid paying a fair chunk of tax on the interest.

someone on this site might come along and argue Bonds don't pay dividends, but they'd be daft.

Prices will fall.Should we all be investing in Venezuelan oil now communism has been excised?

I left just £1k in them so see if I get any real luck….maybe stick 5k in some bonds via a fund, to leverage her dividend allowance. 10k each should mean 1K tax free.

Pah! Sod all, as expected. Still, monthly interest on our PB money more than compensates for it and it’s currently tax free.I left just £1k in them so see if I get any real luck….

£100 on a little over 8k holding. same as last month.
