Hi there.

Bit of a clueless DIYer here. I had a very old gas heater removed (in extension) and gas pipes removed. But it's left a huge hole behind. I'm not sure whether to install vent for the extension as it will now be open plan with the kitchen...

The kitchen has 1 small vent and will have electric oven/recirculation hood. The big issue for me is keeping the extension warm as will be re-laying ceiling (but there's a lot of glass in there). But I also don't want the room to be full of condensation?

So block up to keep warm or vent?

Ps sorry for the mess.

Vent is easier but it will be draughty. If it was me I'd block it up.

More importantly, I presume that's the old external wall coming down? I hope there's a steel up there, either that or I'd get some acro props in there smartish if it was me.

I'd just make good that old hole and seal it up too.
