Remote responds to TV selection (button lights when selected) but the STB button does not respond the same , have to press STB and any other button to switch back to Sat control .?
( Did a Sat box reset).

Fresh batteries in remote?
Which Humax Sat PVR model?

On my Foxsat-HDR and HDR-Fox-T2 remotes the <selected device> button flickers when other buttons are pressed (e.g. number, volume, channel. joystick/ok). Sat / TV etc.,. only lights when pressed in, goes out when released.

Does the SAT button on yours do that, or no light at all?

Dismantle remote as done to clean the switches? Look for damaged track/dry joint/failed led under the button?

Batteries good, STB button lights in response to any use just won’t switch back to STB from TV without another button being depressed.(1100s)

You will see the ir blaster working if you look and smartphone camera.

Open phone camera
Point at remote contro at phone camera and press a button.
Watch phone screen for the flashing ir blaster to prove its working

On my third Humax Freesat box and sixth remote in 11 years (but we do have the feed out to the TV in bedroom so two remotes in use at a time), tried cleaning, sticking bits of tin foil under the buttons etc but all a waste of time, I just regard replacing them every few years as a cost of ownership! I've found the TV/STB buttons at the top particularly prone to failure so try to use the TV remote for the TV functions rather than the Humax "TV" button. Sometimes the big round central control can stick and cause other buttons to malfunction.

I usually pay about £20-25 for a genuine new one.

The remote works fine, not a problem.

All the buttons work fine, just not when switching from tv to STB.
